Pass to Wardle .

It felt like Field was carrying niggles throughout last season and was playing within himself. As soon as he looked to go at full throttle in the cup final, he got injured (but had a great game). Hopefully he is fully fit now and can stay fit because if he keeps playing like this, at the same time as French and Smith playing as they are, it's going to be a tough side to beat and also we'll be in for a really entertaining season. We've gone from scoring no points in that first game, to playing some scintillating stuff over the last 3 weeks. 

I think people are underestimating the strength of the wind yesterday, IMO it played  big part in the way the game was played. 

Pre season I was thinking it wouldn’t create too many issues if Field were to leave as there are some outstanding fullbacks not getting games in the NRL systems and he could be comfortably replaced.


I’m happy to put my hand up and say I was wrong, he looks fit and motivated and the way he has started the season if he can keep it up he’s got to be in contention for MOS although it is early days.


I don’t believe there is a way back for him to the NRL. I don’t think financially it would stack up for him and his style doesn’t suit over there, plus there is a massive talent pool at 1. 

Well they must have been watching a different team! Did they miss the WCC last season? His defence was sublime. His passing has improved year on year and his speed, well I don't know any faster in the game. He frightens defences to death. Get his contract extended.
