| Worryingly for the rest of us, Wigan were unbelievably slick. The pessimistic part of me wonders if they are going to sweep the board again this year especially if the main players stay fit. As the grounds dry up they will score a lot of points with that backline and speed. It's a good job that Nsemba is tied to a long-term contract because he will have a lot of Australian clubs talking about him even more than they currently do. Fair play to Wigan for their professionalism and willingness to earn the 2 points. From videos I have seen on social media, Warrington have treated this as a "jolly" with Burgess seemingly on the p*** with Matty Johns and Brian Carney and then videos of him with Beaumont. I would be livid if I was a Warrington fan who had paid to travel, whether they had a great time in Vegas or not. Another point for me was Carney's behaviour. I really like him as a host, but he's hardly portrayed a professional image of SL. He looked and sounded worse for wear every time he was on TV and when we are trying to sell SL, I don't think it's the right image to convey.

You made the point a couple of weeks ago, that you were / are surprised we havent invested in a decent pitch for the stadium Personally, as much as i'd like to see us win the lot, i think that's asking a bit too much to be able to peak again for the CC / GF and maintain the consistency to win the LLS. i think we'll be there or there abouts, and if we can get to the finals, we know how to win them now, which is a big factor in the overall outcome. You just need to look at your recent history. Failures in the GF, but once you got that off your back, 4 on the trot, as it almost takes that pressure off the players knowing they can win when it matters. With Wire and now KR, they are getting there, but until they win the big one, they will always have that nervousness / anxiety or whatever comes with the pressure of never having won it

| WWste:Some good rugby from the lad, everyone played their part. Hopefully can settle back into the league next week. For Warrington, that was a disgraceful show. They’ve really let the SL down. They’ve underprepared for that game and it’s shown, would have made more sense taking KR How do you know this?

| The LLS is going to be a tough one this year with the Vegas disruption likely to affect us for the next 2-3 games. It will be more than worth it though. The press interest and potential benefits in sponsorship, promotion of the game is far more than anything I've seen some the heyday of Offiah, Hanley, Edwards. Obviously we have to feel confident going into any big game with the quality of the squad and the way they've shown they can play.

| Wish we could get Viss over here for a season, and some of the NRL TV production crew.

| Big Steve:Wish we could get Viss over here for a season, and some of the NRL TV production crew. Yeah, that would be amazing. His commentary for that Wardle try and then the Thompson one was just a thing of beauty. His full focus was on the superb attacking play, whereas some of the guys here would've just bemoaned the side getting battered.

Speaking of Thompson, how does a prop get on the end of a break like that

Agree with Stu about Carney.
To be fair to Carney though, he did say on numerous occasions on podcasts that he had problems with the dry desert air and problems with his throat, jetlag was still an issue and the lack of sleep through working, but it could also be another factor that he was out on the lash all night as well, I don't know.

| I thought Carney did a good job overall. Did he probably go out and enjoy himself of an evening? yes, without a doubt but he was putting in the hours and did everything he could to push the sport. Over the week I saw him doing podcasts, Sky interviews, interviews with the CEO's of the clubs and with Peter V'Landys, helping to organise clips of him, Junior and Leeming on a rollercoaster and with some mind reading bloke with the Wire players. He was on the NRL magazine shows each night with Matty Johns and Brian Fletcher as well and then threw in all the game day coverage on top. He probably played hard but clearly, he worked hard as well and I think he was an excellent ambassador for the sport over the week (and he is in general).
