| So you think he was a cheat?
What about the head of match officials for years being a known Saints fan? Should clubs have called that out every time you won a game from an iffy call?
If he attended that without prior consent from the RFL (Ganson I presume) and turned up in secret and then left with a big brown envelope in his pocket then you would probably have had a point, but I doubt that happened.

Yes I think they would've been well within their rights to challenge the transparency.

| One thing would help with all the appeals, appeals on appeals, bans, none bans, conspiracy theories, the RFL treating Saints harshly, the RFL treating Saints leniently etc etc and that would be if Saints players could get through a game without whacking people late, whacking them in the head or a combination of both.
Crazy idea I know but it would save a load of hassle.

| Quote Egg Chasing="Egg Chasing"You're right. It won't look good for the sport at all and it seems to me like the current setup at Saints cares about themselves and nothing else. It's probably led to you winning 4 in a row and a WCC but ultimately the sport is what matters.'"
Completely disagree. When it comes to RL - Wigan is all that matters. If, god forbid, we folded tomorrow I wouldn't watch a min of British RL again.
Danson/IL/Any owner has one duty of care & that's to do the best for their team. This big RL family is BS imo.

I'd rather see no Wigan RL than see us continue to keep taking a shafting off the rest of the league.
This used to the club of Uncle Mo. He'd 100% be doing what Saints are doing now. Using every advantage and avenue to achieve one goal - to make us the greatest RL team in the world. Wigan used to be a club that pushed the art of what people thought was possible. One that dominated the sport and ran roughshod over the British game. I'm extremely proud of that and it won't change.
That's what we need to get back to. With one or Britain's richest men, there's the opportunity to do it again.

| Not seen it confirmed but I've heard they're appealing it on a technicality again. That'll be twice now which, for me, raises two questions:
1) How is the RFL possibly incompetent enough to get the wording wrong twice? Surely even the most slapdash of organisations should be able to learn from their earlier mistake?
2) How come when Wigan find a loophole they invented a charge of "against the spirit of the cap" but when Saints find a loophole TWICE they can't come up with "against the spirit of the disciplinary process"?

| Yep, I’ve heard it’s a case of “wrong charge” which I’m assuming means the tribunal once again made a mess of the wording in their conclusion last night, and that there’s probably a fairly good chance we will win it.
They just need scrapping, they’re not fit for purpose at all and there shouldn’t be a panel full of clowns re-reffing every game. Just look at cards and stuff the ref puts on report. The way we do it now is pathetic even in theory, but the execution of it is just the stupidest I’ve ever seen
