| Hats off to players and coaching staff to come through that type of game on the right side of score line after last week’s fiasco. It was really important to stop the rot and we looked very low on confidence in the first 15 minutes or so, but managed to find our way back into the game. Interesting that Peet credited Tommy for motivating the players in the week.
Also, Wardle’s been building as a Wigan player as the season’s progressed - but great to see him turn in a 100% performance in both attack and defence today.

Also, same as everyone I wish we could get another 10mins/game out of him but I thought Mago caused the Leeds pack all sorts of bother when he was on, they seemed to have all sorts of bother bringing him down.'"
Helped turn the game along with Nsemba. He’s been pretty good this past few weeks. His concentration levels look to be up and the silly mistakes down. IMO it’s too little, too late and him showing he can concentrate and play well now only adds to the feeling that it’s right that he’s let go. We need players who don’t need a new contract offer to motivate them and concentrate their minds. Having a player needing to earn a move elsewhere in the next few months could be handy though.

I think he’ll be kept on but they should be having a serious talk to him. I think he’s lucky in the sense that other than Satate there isn’t really anyone as a realistic target. He’s knocked the silly knock ons on the head which is good he needs to stick with his role of running hard and being awkward to put down. He had a few good offloads last year (the one at Warrington comes to mind) hopefully this will come about again but for now the risk isn’t needed. He’s looking like he’s trimmed down which is good. Needs work on bigger minutes

If I was the club I would probably say to him, line in the sand and prove over the next four to six weeks that he's worth keeping on for another twelve months. The ball really is in his court.

| Hull rumoured to have signed Franklin Pele he is an absolute monster in the mould of the traditional impact prop.
I’m personally not sure this is they style of forward we go after any more though.
I think we have burned by their inconsistency too often. I think Mago will go if we can secure a suitable replacement capable of doing bigger minutes.
Dupree would be ideal. Very rarely does a player put in a transfer request and not end up leaving and it will be interesting to see if he becomes available if we go after him.

| Finally watched the game as I was busy at the weekend.
Nowhere near as bad as I was expecting in the first half (perhaps because I knew the final result). Very loose in defence and soft at times but we could have easily had 3 tries on the board. French forward pass to Wardle, Marshall forward to french and French just missing catching a kick.
Great resilience to get back in the game.
All the outside backs carried carried hard, Wardle was super and could start standing out more on dry tracks.
Nsemba was brilliant, his leg drive post contact was great and a couple of late offloads. Took his try well.
I’m not a fan but thought Mago had a decent game, had to put down and a couple of our tries game off the back off good carries from him.
Smithies and French were superb.
Hampshire was just solid (the opposite of Cust the week before). Just got the ball where it needed to go and defended okay. Hope he continues to play until Field returns.
