| If we start well I think we can challenge for top spot. I’m feeling a bit down on our chances at HKR funnily enough but it won’t make or break us. We’re going to score a good amount of points most weeks, with a full side out and if we can get it right at the other end, we won’t lose too many games. It’s injuries that could really hurt us and I’d say the same with Saints (plus the WCC trip).
If it isn’t Wigan or Saints I think I’d only have much faith in Huddersfield being able to break those 2. They have depth like I’ve not seen a team have for a good while and while I don’t have much faith that they can win a Grand Final, I do think they will be pretty consistent. After those 3, I just can’t think of another side capable of the consistency to finish top but I expect improvements from Wire and Hull FC, Leeds could take steps forward and Catalans, HKR or Salford might shake things up a little. It should be a pretty good season all round for me. There doesn’t look to be a nailed on cert for relegation, so that’s positive.

Direct response to the troll mate.
Second to Wigan if you want the proper prediction.

| Quote: Cruncher "Shocked by how poor they were.
They looked massively off the pace, and only got the late tries because Warrington had backed off. One of those late tries, the Wire defender made no effort to tackle him at all. They'd clearly put the cue on the rack.
I honestly saw nothing in that Leeds side to worry any other team in the league. There was no danger there at all.
First game, yeah. Too early to say, things can change etc etc. But it sounds as though they've had a clownish pre-season, and I can't help wondering if the Rohan Smith bubble is going to burst in 2023.'"
Looking at their pre-season you just knew they'd be garbage. People say pre-season is meaningless but you can tell a lot about the attitude of a club and it's players to how professionally they approach everything - training, friendlies, finals, whatever it may be.
I said on TRL before the season started that I thought Leeds would crater this year. I know they were missing a few but there's just something shambolic and soft about them and I have no faith at all in Rohan Smith despite the back end of Leeds' season last year. If he took over at Saints I'd be absolutely terrified.

I will agree with that summary, Smith being lauded as the second coming, half that team last night went hiding. Obviously some to come back in but something does not seem right about the place.

I put Wigan there because they have no pack and whilst peets game plan of chuck it to field worked for the first half of the season, it was completely Ineffective at the back end of the season.
Wigan are no where near being SL champions which is evident by where I put them'"
Yeah nowhere near...... Apart from the time we had a last minute match winning penalty awarded to us in a kickable position that sadly for us just fell short.
But yeah, nowhere near.
