| Great servant to the club and to rugby league, easily the pound for pound hardest tackler I have ever seen. It’s been a little up and down the last few years as you would expect with his age but from his performances this year I wouldn’t have been against him playing another season. I wonder if Briers going Oz has maybe made up his mind? Big jump straight to Assistant and he’s jumped over a few people but from what you hear he’s made for coaching and a lot see him as a future head coach.

Sad but true, the one time Wigan look outwards and the side is transformed,oh well can only hope it carries on.
But what a fantastic player Tommy was, right time to call time though on a great career.

| Besides the NRL He has literally won everything the game has to offer. As others have said. The timing is right for both parties.

| As with Lockers, Tommy has been playing for Wigan has been a constant of my life.
MOM in the first Grand Final I saw us compete in. The first grand final of the Maguire/Wane era.
Then inspired everyone with his comeback for the challenge cup 2022 leading a young side to the first win of the Peet era.
Loved his interview saying he leaves the club in a good place and it’s Harry Smiths team now.
Can’t wait to see him play on Friday

| Going to reserve judgment on the jobs for the boys tag line as Tommy is a Legend.
Like Briers he’s played on late in to his career and still performs to a high standard so must have a good rugby brain and able to read the game.
Not sure he’s technically as good as Briers but his NRL and international experience must count for something.
Plus the partnership that Tommy has with both players and coaches. Should hopefully make it a easy transition
I think were in safe hands.

| Great servant to the club and deserves the tag of Wigan Legend. Wishing him every success (obviously!) in his new role.

| Most intimidating frown in rugby league? Quite possibly.
Easily one of our greatest signings in the SL era.
Already lots of coaching experience behind him too, he will continue to be an asset to Wigan.

Sorry but where has all this coaching experience come from?

So we are attributing the change all to Briers and not to Peet, Wane and Lockers? I’m certainly not one for giving the job to the next in line internally no matter what and I was against the Peet appointment for that reason but we are seemingly in a good place currently and it’s been said in the past what a great leader and rugby brain Tommy has so this does make sense to me.
