| Quote: MadDogg "This game and last Friday's game are the types of fixture that should be a real selling point for the sport - unfortunately injuries and underperformance meant last week's game was a non contest and this week's game probably won't be what it should be (Thursday scheduling also doesn't help).
The competition really needs the likes of Leeds, Warrington and Hull to get it together so we can see high quality, high profile fixtures more regularly. Leeds look to be heading in the right direction under Rohan Smith and hopefully Warrington/Hull are starting to get the message that you need to focus on your youth development to be successful long term.'"
If Leeds and Wigan + Wire now show you anything, then a coach is the single most important hire any club can make. Appoint a Lam or Powell and it doesn't matter who you have, the season won't even begin.

| Things would change and improve if the TV commentators and more so summerisers were critical of wrong decisions made by match officials.
The try at Leeds scored between the legs of the Leeds player playing the ball was ridiculous. So why didn't the tv folk call it out as wrong before the decision was made. Same with the "Spear or Tip" tackle by French. The phrase "a bit harsh" was nonsense. Why didn't they ask which part of the Leeds player was lifted above the horizontal?
If the match officials were called out live on tv their seniors would soon sort things out and standards would improve. That includes the logic, or lack of, a referee going to the VR and saying I think it is a try or No try. Just allow the VR ton make the decision, he's a full time referee and as capable as the match referee for giving the correct opinion.

They did say the try shouldn’t have been given.

| Yes they did, only after the decision had been made.
An opinion like "They can't give that, it's just illegal".

| I just watched the Wests game. That was a shocker, that literally atole the game for the Cowboys. Wasn't the only bad decision in that game by any means, though.
