Quote: Stu M "I don't mind the odd Sunday games as a change. I took my youngest lad (9) to the HKR game a couple of weeks ago. It was only his second ever game yet my eldest lad (who is 11) comes to every game with me.
I have to say though that I much prefer Friday nights, the whole weekend still ahead of you after the game, no work in the morning etc. The issue with Sunday afternoon games as a family is that you can't really do anything decent before the game nor after i.e going out for the day. My Saturdays during the football season are spent at both their football games so Sunday is the only full day to enjoy as a family.'"
Friday nights really worked for me when my kids were younger (and still do now they are older

Home from work, tea and off to the rugby with my daughter (no worries about getting up for school the following day) and then as you say, the full weekend to do whatever you want. Even the away games (apart from getting to Hull) i can finish work at 5 - 5.30 and still make it to the games
If i fancied an away game on the Sunday, we could fit them in as neither daughter particularly had any regular activity at weekend other than me dropping them off at friends
