| “Cade Cust likely to be missing for Wigan until at least international break. Cust has had his scans but club waiting to determine severity of injury suffered in the final. Thomas Leuluai also drops out this week for the Castleford game, given a breather after the final.“

| Quote: Pieman "not to mention his double tackle also to deny Cas a try, the whole team looked up for it in the second half'"
must have been a great half time talk by Peet.

| That one by the corner flag where he and Marshall held up the Cas player (Trueman?)?
Looked a try for all money, top effort. French looked like he was really enjoying himself out there.

| I was watching it in a busy pub so didn’t have the best of watches but from what I did see I thought Bibby had a good game.
I thought the pass from French was forward that was called forward and it looked like the pass by Faz (I think) to Miski for his try was forward.
Has all the hallmarks of a Challenge Cup hangover performance up until the sin binning and then we woke up.
Field started to find his way in the game as it went on will be interesting to see if he gets more time there moving forward.
Disappointed with French’s tackle attempt for the second try I think it was.
As others have said bench changed the game which is exactly what you need them to do. Mago in particular had a great impact.
The shapes we are running and the trust the players have for each other is clear to see when players are throwing passes into spaces without looking but having faith in the systems they work on, on the training pitch.

| Slow start, which was to be expected in this instance, but the 2nd half was all class. Showed real desire and application to register 32 unanswered points! Smith controlled the performance. He was very vocal for a young half and it's clear he's found his feet within the team. Seemed to be calling all the shots. French showed how good he can be at fullback. He chimes into the line as well as any fullback out there and could have set Marshall up with a hat trick of try assists had it not been for the (slightly) forward pass. Forwards just excellent. Got on top of the Cas pack in that 2nd half and were making metres for fun as the stats show.
Hard to pick standouts as everyone was good in that 2nd half. Not a weak performance among them. Perhaps the 'fringe' players who haven't been getting much game time should take the plaudits as they, to a man, slotted in seamlessly.
