Good riddance. I didn't want him at the club in the first place. The club have stood by him after his drugs ban, and then drink driving. Then he moved back to Yorkshire and tried to force a move. I have literally only started warming to him over the last few weeks after he was putting in good performances despite playing out of his preferred position, and thinking he was growing up a bit and 'knuckling down' despite having to commute. How wrong was I?

I know that Wigan looked long and hard at McDonald last year and it was concerns around his off field behaviour that stopped them from completing any deal.

You would have to assume that Wigan have terminated his contract knowing Leeds wanted him without having to pay him off and Leeds have picked up the tab. Surely we haven't ripped up his contract, paid him off and he walks into a new contract.
