Was fortunate to speak with ZH after the game on Friday, and specifically asked about the lift in intensity when we have our first lot of rotation and if there is a reason there isn’t that intensity from the off. His response was don’t underestimate the work that the starting forwards do to get us in a position where the rotation guys can come on and have a big impact, regardless of what you see from the stands.
I’m not a fan of Singleton at all, but it certainly made me see his input from a different perspective.'"
I'd love to know what kind of work that is that, then? Getting dominated by 34 year old Prior whilst returning the ball 3 times for 18 metres?

It’s showing as 108 metres at the minute but I think it may have been adjusted because I thought it was higher earlier In the week.

| Hit and miss last night, a little lacklustre at times I felt but confident things will improve as the “new” style of play infiltrated more.
I thought our pack were outstanding last night. Ellis and Singleton, standing ovation please. Excellent performances from both. They won it for us in the first 10mins IMO, Mago and Byrne good too. Faz, Bateman, Isa, Smithies superb also and Powell was much improved from Leeds.
Tommy. Lord I feel embarrassed at my opinions last season. He looks like he’s stepped into a time warp. He has a new lease of life and long may it continue!
I thought everyone played well to be honest. We looked lively, threatening and our D harped back to the Wane era. I’ve mentioned on another thread but my disappointment was Partington. I honestly didn’t know he was on until it was announced he was off for Isa and I don’t think he made another appearance after that? He’s one at risk of release.
Tommy’s form does add a huge problem - where to play French/Field? Does Harry Smith even get a look in? It’s good to have the luxury of this whilst knowing our club is in safe, good hands once again.

Positives:
Field's great tackle when Hudds broke through and were looking very dangerous. That's one more game nearer being able to rub FTVs nose in it
Yeah, but just until he comes up against "best full-back in the comp" Lachlan Coote!
Oh, he already has... ![Laughing icon_lol.gif](images/smilies//icon_lol.gif)

Enjoyed the game although the weather was pretty poor Wigan scored some lovely tries as well and we did OK and managed to stay in the game as well. All the best for the rest of the season its looking good for you the way you are playing at the moment.'"
I thought the Giants were strong in the pack, you were missing some playmakers that didn’t help your cause. As you say your team stayed in the struggle and never gave up. Looking forward to see how you go the rest of the season I thought you would do better last year.
