I think we are going to have some fun with Mago this year. Looks like a very entertaining player. Few errors in him but looks like he wants to promote the ball. Ellis looked very hardworking and solid.

Thought all our middles went well with the exception of Singleton who had a poor game.

KPP whilst not able to highlight his attacking flair showed that even in defence his unconventional style is very effective. He was like a spider clinging to SKD stopping his threat and neutralising his offload.

Field positionally in attack looks very good.

Not a great performance by any stretch but given the performance of the ref and the improvements in key areas it was a very positive start. Balanced and clinical.

Discipline needs sharpening up, few daft ones given away last night.

Think the weather might spoil that - could be very stormy, not ideal for good rugby sadly.

Don't know if it came across on TV, but it was rather windy at Craven Park on Friday, largely why Wigan weren't launching as many bombs in the 2nd half IMO

Yep, this is it. We looked really comfortable aside from the two points discussed above. We actually resembled a team with a clear direction what we were trying to do with the ball. So far, the displays are night and day compared to the last 3 years.

Agreed. We never looked uncomfortable and never really looked like needing to get out of 3rd gear. Leeds are a better side than KR this year and I think we will have a better idea of where we are as a team come 10:30 on Friday evening.
