Happy to have 6 junior forwards in his 17 and to move a second rower to centre to fit one more in but not happy to place trust in a young outside back, who has shown himself to be as trustworthy as they come. He’s been happy to flog Harry Smith all season, even though he’s clearly dying on his backside but drops a kid who looks ice cool under pressure and would’ve been playing on a less pressurised position.

Of course I agree; it's bizarre, He's flogged Smith (and Shorrocks, especially, and a few others), but a lad comes into the side, holds up brilliantly under the high ball, and ,,, goodbye?
