That’s unfair and inflammatory unless you know this person and know it to be true.
Some, including this person seem to believe (and I apologise if I’m wrong) that politics and sport shouldn’t mix. I’d agree to a certain extent but for me, taking a stand against discrimination of all forms (which is was this is now), is not as much a political issue as a societal problem. Sports people are in a position in the public eye where they are able to highlight and publicise such problem, for this I applaud them. |
