Bentley is living rent free in Batemans head and totally dominating a once formidable player but since his return to Wigan is a shadow of his former self.

We are now reaping the reward of the recruiting of Shaun Wanes one dimensional robots at junior level . Saints youngsters look far more athletic than ours , as do Leeds kids . I believe Warrington have some good ones coming through as well. Our whole scouting and recruiting system needs a massive overhaul

This might not be the worst Wigan team ever but it is heading that way.

We look like a team that has never been coached - no organisation, no structure and some of the dumbest rugby I have seen in a long time. Even our best players (Bateman, Farrell, Gildart etc) are going backwards and looking worse each week, the drop off ball to Faz is so predicatable and so easy to defend. The kikcing game is truly woeful hoof it down field or hoof it up in the air with no pressure.

The kicking for 2 said it all really - even the players have no fiath in their ability to score - unless it comes from a Saints mistake.

Every team we play can literally put all 13 defenders on the side of the pitch Hastings is on and we would still go to him and expect him to create.

Don’t look like scoring. Discipline with and without the ball is poor. Barely any go forward. Isa giving penalties away for fun, Bateman an affinity for the yellow card, Partington can’t keep hold of the ball.

And Lam reckoned it was an arm wrestle? I can’t wait for his post match interview. This game has been an absolute car crash from us.
