Quote: Jukesays "Season tickets is over 6k
However the reason tickets were made available to Wire fans is that some ST holders did not take up their offer of a seat (school night, work commitments, peed off with the team could be any reason).
I thought 6k plus STs was a pretty good effort given the uncertainty of the covid situation and not knowing if you were going to be able to see any games at all and considering you were definitely going to miss the first 2 or 3 dur to restrictions.
The big question is
After the fall in ST numbers from over 10k 8/9 years ago to around 8k 2 years ago, will the club be able to get back to the 8kish mark they were at before we even tqlk about getting back to the 10kish we should/could be at.
Agree that it may be a 4k attendance if England reach final.'"
Unbelievably, the club are turning season ticket holders away. I haven’t had a ST for a few years due to me and my wife working opposite shifts and having young kids. It just wasn’t practical because I’d always miss too many games. However, I’m now working Monday to Friday and my kids are a bit older. I contacted the club at the start of the season and was told I’d missed the season ticket deadline. This was before a ball was kicked! I asked for a better explanation expecting Covid to have meant they had to reduce numbers or something similar but received nothing back other than, sorry you missed the deadline.
I find it astonishing that any Superleague club can turn new ST holders away.
