Quote: NickyKiss "Some stats that sum it up rather nicely IMO

Paul McShane

2020

2 try’s and 8 assists

2019

1 try and 19 assists

2018

8 try’s and 27 assists

2017

3 try’s and 19 assists

Now I know he’s played fewer games but he’s clearly had a less effective season that some of his others. If there was an award for having a consistently good 4 or 5 seasons, the lad deserves that but sadly this is an award for 2020’s best player.'"

Quote: NickyKiss "Elland Road always feels like an Ashes graveyard to me. The amount of times it feels like we’ve gone there full of hope, anticipation and excitement , only to be left feeling deflated feels like it’s in the hundreds given how gutted you feel, when realistically it probably been 4 or 5 occasions for me.

I’m exactly the same as trainman mentioned in that I’d give up a number of Wigan trophy wins for an Ashes series or World Cup win. I can only imagine the feeling after that and have been imagining it for many many years.'"

Yup, I've seen Wigan win trophies and I'm sure I'll see them winning trophies again. We often aren't even underdogs in that scenario. Winning a trophy ahead of the aussies would be a different prospect entirely.

SAINTS THE ORIGINAL AND PERENNIAL CHEATS For sale full Saints kit (circa 1989). Shirts in pristine condition, but shorts badly soiled. For 27 - 0 you get a trophy For 75 - 0 you get sod all. Wigan had eight in a row Saints have five in a row:d7dc4b20b2c2dd7b76ac6eac29d5604e_3076.jpg

I was lucky enough to be in Melbourne in 1992 for that victory over the Aussies (the famous Wigan six pack ) As an RL fan it stands alongside any win I've ever known.
I'm also lucky enough to have been alive to remember the ashes victories in 1959, 1962 and 1970, but before I go to that great Central Park in the Sky I want to do them at least once more.

I just hope Waney has enough good players at his disposal to give us a chance against them in the next couple of years. It feels like some of the quality has fallen away since that last World Cup. It was expected with Lockers and Graham but not so much with Sam Burgess and I fear we’ll miss him and the belief he can help instil in the other lads more than we could imagine.
