| Sean O'Loughlin is one of the greatest players to pull on the jersey. Simple as that. He did the little details better than anyone who has played for us in the SL era.
His whole all round game is/was so strong. A complete player. I have never seen another player like him. Could carry the ball like a prop, could pass the ball like a half back (that pass for Dan Sarginson at pace v Saints Good Friday away comes to mind) or setup a try with a perfect chip kick to the corner. He is not a traditional loose forward- he is too skillful to be labelled that. Ferocious in defence; stats don't tell you how hard he hits opponents. So consistent. Brilliant, brilliant player. World class.
So in summary - I rate him.
Nathan Brown when he was at Saints sums it up:
“Sean took us to school. He’s easily the best loose forward in the
world — miles better than anyone in Australia.”
Very lucky to have had a player of his calibre play for us for 19 years. A privilege to have watched him play.

| Back to Lockers again. What about the game in Catalan in 2018 when he started at prop with Bateman #13. Just after halftime we were 23 -4 down and Williams had gone off the pitch. Lockers went to #6, completely turned the game and we finished up winning 32-23

| I was writing a long appreciation of his time with us until I realised two words would say it all. Wigan Legend.

| Never wanted the spotlight even though his talent demanded it.
Only a small things but
2016 - shared the Grand final trophy lift with Matty Smith in his last game for the club.
2018 - did the same with Sam.
Selfless guy.
