Quote: Phuzzy "Fair comment but I'm not sure I agree. Walmsley is good, no doubt about it, but he's not Wally Lewis as he suddenly seems to have become. He's hard to neutralise but it can be done. Warrington have done it several times and I reckon defence like ours last night would have gone a long way to doing the same. Across the rest of the park they were totally outplayed. I'm not convinced that one man makes up the difference. Especially if he's a 40 minute prop. Ateotd they're not even on the pitch for half the game so, unless you have the rotation to cover (they don't) the intensity will undoubtedly drop when he's not on.
I guess we'll find out.'"
I’d feel more confident if we had Havard in for Clubb or Flower I think. That feels a better balance to me. We’d have Bullock making ground, Singleton roughing people up and then once Bullock went off, we could bring Havard on and still have a guy capable of making good ground through the middle. I just worry Walmsley makes his usual 150 metres, which in turn gives room for others and we get pinned in our half. Our two bench props last night made 15 metres (Clubb) and 38 metres (Flower) each. Even with Walmsley off the pitch you’re risking getting squeezed in that period and unless you’ve dealt really well with them in the first 20 mins, you could be in trouble. I fancy us out wide against them mind and would probably look to push the ball a bit more once he’s back in their side.
