| Quote 100% Warrior="100% Warrior" 5 derby defeats on the bounce, 3 semi final losses (and bad ones at that), poor coaching decisions, poor team selections and what looks like so far, poor signings. Everything points to Lam needing to go for the good of the club. '"
I don't think Lam has much to do with the signings but other than that I agree. He's out-coached every time we come up against a decent side and looks to have no clue what to do about it.

| Quote Grimmy="Grimmy"Yeah I'm with you on that now. Salford in the play offs last year followed by Leeds today in the cup are really bad ways to exit competitions. Not even being competitive against teams we were favourites to beat.'"
The issue I have is that we’ve never played well consistently under him but we’ve done enough to drag some results out the fire. In the weekly rounds that isn’t a great deal different to how we played under Wane but when the time came under Waney you could literally see the switch flick and we had our game heads on. Under Lam we actually fall off in big games because the opposition step up the intensity and we seem incapable of doing so. I had a bit of hope after Catalan and Hull that maybe we could still do it but there were still nagging doubts and it’s crashed down like a ton of bricks today.
Lenagan/Rads need to get the search started now ready for next season. Unless they’ve been totally blinded by Rads love in with Lam, then they’ll have been looking already.

Would you promote from within the club, recruit another SL coach or look to the NRL? I'd be talking to James Ford over at York, Ian Watson at Salford (not sure he would leave), not sure who is available in the NRL.

An entirely new broom throughout the club needs to be brought in. We've lacked imagination or class in the recent past when it comes to appointments, the only pre-requisites being you had to be a Wiganer or have played for us. We need to be looking to get the best coaches within the game and without having the answers at my fingertips, I'm not having it that every position in the game has a Wiganer as the best in the field.

| Phenomenal performance by Salford, another upset you would say.
They don’t have tons of quality but everyone works their off, especially their pack.

James Ford was mentioned on here a while ago and that wouldn’t be a bad shout for an assistants job. The work he’s done with York has been brilliant and they really look like a side on the up, which may be why he could be reluctant to leave.
Ian Watson screams out. What he’s done with this Salford side is fantastic.

At least theres a team to cheer for in the final. I do think Ian Watson should get some serious consideration to take on the Wigan job.

| Watson would be nice but I don't see why he leaves. He's under little pressure coaching his home team to two finals in a row.

| Obviously disappointed, but credit to Leeds, they were superb and played the conditions so well. Their kicking game, their chase and discipline with and without the ball was exceptional. We were never in the game. When you watched the second game you realised just how good a performance that was from Leeds.

That’s had been a lost a little with how annoyed we are. Leeds played superbly well. That first half performance was as close to perfect as you’ll get really. It was 20-0 and that flattered us really. Fair play to them and especially to Richard Agar. He’s took some stick throughout his career but he’s always stuck at it and he’s doing a good job at Leeds.

| If we are looking at Salford staff I would prioritise Greg Brown.
Stole my position at Huddersfield but I’m not bitter honest!
Good call by the Giants.
Very good S&C coach.
An area I believe we are lacking.
