Quote: NickyKiss "I’ve waived any refund but wouldn’t expect any increased chance of a ticket. I’d just draw it random. Maybe a few pots for single tickets, for two people etc up to a few family of 4 tickets. No point giving all singles and a person getting one who can’t go because they’ve got kids to look after.'"

It would no doubt upset a few people but if it was to be essentially a raffle draw of STHs to make up the crowd (which seems the most likely and fair system IMO) then the club could exclude children from the draw, as to flip your final example on its head it would be little use allocating a ticket to a child who won't be able to attend without a parent when that parent didn't get a ticket. Allocating group tickets wouldn't be so simple as family members from the same house either. Not all groups that go or buy STs together will be close family or from the same household. I buy one for me and one for my nephew (a child), he lives in a different house but in terms of ST purchasing we are a family unit. Some people attend in groups bigger than 4 too. I can see your reasoning for different categories but I would expect that tickets will be allocated singly.

The club could also find that people allocated a ticket then declined to attend for health reasons, age etc. meaning that they don't want to risk attending and potentially catching Covid so it may be that those eligible are asked whether they would attend or not before the tickets are allocated.

It may also be the case that 100 or so of the tickets are allocated to Saints, some of the cricket test events featured small allocations made to away spectators.

Quote: Cokey "But it's ok to have part social distancing in shops and supermarkets? Mass gatherings @ 10pm all over the country spreading the Kung Flu? no proper social distancing @ train stations, tube ,and generally public transport.

If SL clubs where given the nod to trial a fans return (let's say in a couple of weeks)with stringent restrictions in place, (which is what Iv'e been advocating), my Guess is that they would do,and fans will be scrambling for a ticket. No doubt you would too.'"

Quote: Grimmy "Shops and travel are necessities, watching rugby isn't. I don't think stringent enough restrictions to allow people to leave are viable for the reasons I've just mentioned. Yes people will happily go to the rugby if they allow crowds back, that doesn't mean it's right or safe to do so (although many would presume it was safe if they were allowed to buy a ticket).'"

How do you know? We haven't even tried it. Between March & June is understandable, but looking at this graph, tells me we can be smart enough to give a fans return trial. However, i think we'll just have to agree to disagree on this one. icon_wink.gif

Quote: Jukesays "No I haven't

I have said that I don't believe for the good of the game/clubs finances it's worth considering at this moment especially when the government are tightening rules not reducing them, and I certainly don't think it's worth petitioning about and getting involved in petty little squabbles about the Phraseology that other posters are using and I can't decide if your being obtuse or not because it's quite simple

As it stands I won't go - because I can't go
If they change the rule then I will make a choice to whether go or not go because I won't be breaking the law - That isn't Contradictory, it isn't even hypocrisy because it's 2 different situations.

All the ones you are arguing with are saying the same thing - It's understandable CURRENTLY that the rules aren't changing and we are not allowed fans back in any way (For gods sake even PL Football with it's Billions can't get fans in).

If they do the change the clubs will be under vast amounts of pressure and cost to accommodate, will that be worth it, Suppose that would be up to each club to do their due diligence, but as it stands it's a Moot point because they can't.

And I would have stab in the dark you would have no idea what would be involved in reopening a venue for fans and the amount of work involved in making it compliant - Simply wanting it to happen isn't good enough, there are Hundreds of issues to resolve to Make it happen

I'm sure your chief executive will be working all Hours he can to facilitate it when it is reasonably practical, safe, cost effective & Legal to do so.
Or at least he will once he's sorted a job out for me that he's been promising for ages
