Theres a lot of people in their 70s/80 that are a product of their time and therefor wouldnt know racism if it slapped them in the face. I'm all for them staying away to be honest. The game won't miss them |

Were those same people not bothered about the treatment of Boston in the 50's and 60's, or the likes of Gill, Hanley and Offiah etc in the 80's and 90's.
It was only through the intervention of sportsmen that South Africa were expelled from world sport until they sorted themselves out.
However I don't think players should automatically take the knee, they should be allowed to use their own judgement, just as Brian Carney chose to not sing God save the Queen. |

Perhaps they are not going to the game because they do not want to put money in the pockets of players that use their position to promote a highly political organisation that they disagree with?
Your last paragraph says more about you and your generation than it does people in their 70/80s. |

Trump has done more for the black community in 3 and half years years than all previous Presidents of the last 3 decades combined but lets blame Trump for RL supporters in the UK not wanting to see players kneeling in support of a marxist organisation. |

McCarthyism is alive and well on all forms of social media driven by predominantly Identity Politics which is for me poisoning any possible chance of balanced debate. This new religion does not allow any alternative nor any semblance of forgiveness to anyone who states any form of disagreement or who will not accept the new gospel
Identity Politics developed by academic's with child like intelligence and accepted by academic lightweights of little intellectual thought. Like any religion it's rules are overly simple for complex issues and needs people of simple minds to accept the religious laws laid down by the high priests.
I'm far from being an academic but when I hear, see and smell bull I know that it is bull. Identity Politics is just regurgitated bull straight from the likes of The Spanish Inquisition or McCarthyism.

Lowest black unemployment in history. The fact that you would try to deny Trump any credit for an HISTORIC achievement under his Presidency, tells its own story.
First Step Act, something past Presidents promised at election time to get the black vote and failed to deliver once they were in office.
Funding for Historically Black Colleges and Universities, his administration in one year alone appropriated more money to HBCUs than any other president, and he has taken steps to establish the Presidential Board of Advisors on HBCUs, as requested by community leaders.
Opportunity Zones helping put a priority on rebuilding and bettering many African American communities that have long been forgotten under prior administrations.
If any other President had done a fraction of this, he would be hailed as the next MLK.

To kneel means you are subservient, not equal.
Politics and sport shouldn't mix.
I will be boycotting the club from now on until either the club or players show some backbone and not kneel and just get on with playing rugby, or until every member of yesterdays squad that knelt leaves the club. I've got strong views on the subject but I'll refrain from saying them because this is a 'Rugby League' forum and politics and sport should not mix.
