| Quote moto748="moto748"I do feel for those Warriors players separated from their families. They have made a bigger sacrifice than most. But does this mean NZW are no longer interested in Benji Marshall? Even so, I still don't seen how we can afford him, especially in current circumstances.'"
There's a good chance they're looking at Benji now as I just read on the mole that Hastings will be turning down the Warriors offer even though it will be the highest.
Blake Green is public enemy number 1 amongst Warriors fans at the minute. His pace, creativity and kicking game are really lacking this season. It's hard watching a Wigan hero get bashed week in week out on socials, no doubt he will be retiring the end of this year.

| The more I read about Hastings, the more it seems like that lightbulb has definitely clicked in his head.
He knows his talents and what he can provide for a team. I really do think that he now puts his career before anything else. Going to the warriors would make him a rich man, but would also be career suicide.
The Bulldogs might be bottom of the ladder, but with Hastings and Thompson they'd have a chance at turning that around.
Good on Hastings.

Hastings will struggle in the NRL. Too slow. Think best for him to stay put.....

I actually think you are right.
I think he is better suited to SL than the style of the NRL. I thought the reverse for Williams whose game in my opinion suits the NRL better than it does SL.
Either way though it’s clearly a scratch Hastings needs to itch so good luck to him.

| Hastings is the kind of character the Warriors (NZ) need. Benji doesn't want to leave Wests, as there's likely to be a coaching job for him when he does retire.

Canberra are all about values and fair play according to those guys. That’s values and fair play in their own league/country I take it?! If there’s an opportunity to unsettle/take players for free from another league/country then they’re down for that. I keep hearing this line about Bateman throwing back what Canberra have done for him in their faces, how’s about what he’s done for them? It’s no coincidence they’re a better side now they have him, he was their best player in their Grand Final year and they offered him a contract where he can negotiate an increase each year.
You’d think these English lads had been plucked from a slum, working sorting out rubbish for pennies before the all giving NRL teams have them a better life. Bateman was a top class player before he went, he earned good money playing for a bigger club than Canberra and he won numerous trophies. He hardly needed to be whipped in to shape or taught how to play the game.
