Admittedly I wasn't giving it my full attention as was cooking but from what I saw Wells looked impressive again in a well beaten Toronto team I thought. 9 metres average gain and took his try very well. How good to have all these exciting forward prospects.

I get the impression that Wells is making the most of his opportunity. Several posters on other sites have mentioned that although he has not had big minutes he is embarrassing some of his older and much more expensive team mates. We could end up with a bit of a problem in the forwards trying to find space for all of the youngsters.

I’d like to see Wells do a month or two with Toronto and then get him back here to fight for a spot. He’s a guy I’m convinced can make a big impact here and we’re short of competition in the second row, especially on that right side and with Greenwood not in Lams plans by the looks of things, I think he could really kick on here.

Has greenwood played the last couple of weeks for Leeds?

No he can’t get in their team.

Wonder if he will feature for the Leeds reserves v Wigan today.

Speaking of back-rowers, who was the tall lad playing 12 against Leeds in the U18 game who was dancing through their defence?

I saw the highlights the other day and wondered the same. He was walking through them. Checked the team sheets and he was called Jack Taylor I think (certainly Taylor but think his first name was Jack).

Looked ruddy massive. As pointed out above, I believe the other second rower (Nicholson) is really highly thought of as well. Add to those two to the older lads like Pearce-Paul, Shorrocks, Rushton and McDonnell and tag in the first team lads Smithies and Wells and we’re set fair now for a long while.
