Agreed. Unless (in the old days of the Championship) a win for them in the last game of the season would secure a title win for us. It never happened thankfully.

| Quote: Jukesays "I didnt want you to win, I had Sydney by 10+, I was gutted when ref gave that penalty end of the game that led to walmsley try.
But
Good effort
Think both teams will consider their performance as no better than maybe 7/10 but performing at those levels Roosters just had that bit of extra class.
Pack stood up well (I'm guessing Roby was either still not 100%, undercooked which would be understandable, or it could be that hes just on the Wane).
Saints give it a good go and fair play to them even with the 3 missing. Roosters will point to being a but rusty and obviously missing a couple of players themselves.
As for the Wane comment, seems like Woolf had then up for it and gave them thebunsteuction to have a Belt at them. That's certainly ly something Wane will want from his players.'"
I think roby is in the same boat as o'loughlin.....they will both get wheeled out for big games , both been great players but as they say time and tide wait for no man

We won our 4th World title (a then record) and made the cup final. Nobody talked about our injuries and games when we were missing 6 and 7 players. It's a crisis for every other club, but we should just take it.
ANYWAY..........Have you won back2back titles since 2017?

| From what I saw watching in a busy pub, I thought Saints' pack stood up to the Roosters where I doubt other SL sides would have. They had their half-chances to score, but they couldn't take them. I thought a competitive game and a creditable effort.

| Generally fair comments from Wigginers
A couple of points. Agree with jukesays on performance and it was 7/10 both teams but still a great watch.
The second. Saints / Wigan rivalries always generate emotional responses as well but ai think our game badly needs a boost. I went against my loyalties last year and supported wigan because the Aussies are getting in danger of being 80s esque ahead of us and though arrogant have more than earned that right. The game needs a stronger national profile. Hard to see if you live in St Helens or Wigan as our setups are so strong which makes seeing the wider picture more difficult.
Final point. Yeo thats three. Ive always seen a respect between Wigan/Saints fitting of two great rugby towns. It may be the proximity and the fact lots of Saints and Wigan fans may work together, in relationships etc but a pity another town starting with W is pretty classless in my opinion.
