Quote: Jukesays "Very strange that people (not insinuating yourself, saying lots of people) tend to believe the side of the story from the ones that shout loudest.
Whatever went on I think we can all agree that neither side came out smelling of Rose's.
Now since then one side has said nothing whilst another has given reasons nearly 12 mo ths later that they didn't give when the agreement was called off.
If Edward's felt so aggrieved back in jan/feb19 last year then why not come out and give his side of the story then?
Why bring it up now?
Why change story from the official one given last year?
If his reasons are different now and they are correct then why agree to the official release last year and do we class that as lying to the public back then?
Who/what has aggrieved him so much that he feels he has to come out and say this now?
95% of the rumours (that then get interpreted as facts) feom message boards, Facebook, Twitter, pub gossip, end up going nowhere whilst in the meantime people twist and manipulate the info to suit their agenda. I tend not to waste too much of my time worrying about things like this.
End of the day Sean Edwards is a Wigan legend, by coming back he would have cemented that place almost irrespective of his success near the top of the legends category.
He sisters want to, he changed his mind for whatever reason and fine.
But for me every time he does something like this hell slip further down in my eyes.
Ps
The article tells about his desire to be a head coach again, maybe just maybe he needs to get a reason out there blaming someone else for the reason he backed out of his last opportunity, so any potential employers dont think hed do that to them?'"
I know and you raise some good points.
To be quite frank I don’t know who to believe; a chairman who, lets face it has been adventurous or exaggerating with the truth or a club legend who initially said he didn’t come because he wasn’t going to be ready and now is saying it’s because of a lack of control.
I don’t think we’ll ever know, and I also don’t think we need to either. We all, SE included, need to move on and look forward to what will hopefully be a successful period under Lam. Not wonder what might have been under SE.
