His back tracking is laughable. Initially he was doing us a favour because he didn’t think he’d be able to do the job adequately but now it’s our fault because we didn’t tell him Williams was going. Anybody with half an eye on the club could’ve told him that. The club only went and replaced him with the current man of steel...how dare they!
The past is in the past now. Wigan shouldn’t respond to him and just leave it where it is IMO. If he has the brass neck to show up at any future Wigan games then fair play to him and he should always be welcomed for his achievements as a player. He’s tainted his legacy though and there won’t be much respect there anymore. It’s pretty sad really but there you go.

Hanley left Wigan in April 91 aged thirty. He then went onto play for Leeds for four years. He played 114 games and scored 106 tries for them. I'd say he was 'in his peak' when he left us.
Agree with the others too. I'd add Robinson into that mix too. |
