Quote: Bigredwarrior "I don’t subscribe to the ‘vote with your feet’ mentality at all. If attendances keep dropping it’s hardly going to motivate the chairman to splash out more than he has to is it? I still think he’s a Wigan fan as well as a businessman and he wants the best for the club. I still trust him to run the club well and I have enough faith in him and the current squad to turn this season around. If players see crowds dwindling week on week it’s not going to improve their confidence. We talk about supporting the club through thick and thin and it seems some of our fans will only support a winning team. I find it quite sad at times.'"
Tricky one. I wake up at 4am every day to go to work. I sometimes work about 20 days on the spin doing that and am absolutely flogged every day. Sometimes i make sacrifices to go and watch rugby. Do without a bit less food etc. I consider that a huge commitment from myself so i can have a pint when i am there etc and help pay the wages of the players and staff. If they aren't giving me value for money i don't see why i should make those sacrifices. We have (as said) been on the decline for a few years and seen hardly and re-investment for the top players leaving. 1 or 2 maybe. If i was being entertained yet still being beat it wouldn't be as bad but when we are clearly not trying then what is the point? I might as well just give my money to a homeless person or something. If they want bums on seats they need to earn it, just like each and every one of has to do every day at work. Maybe they can entice more fans from London and Australia in the (home) fixtures we squandered to fill the void.
And no i am not going either
Because it's pretty obvious what is going to happen. Shoot me down and burn me to the ground if i am wrong. I would love to be wrong. But i won't be will i? And to be honest, i am sick of dodging missiles when i go to Warrington. Their fans seem to have an obsession with trying to maim the opposition fans.
