Quote: WARRIOR5 "I don’t buy that tbh, I’m not worried about where the wins are going to come from once things click. I may be wrong but fans and the media are too emotive and quick to react when things go well or go poorly. Didn’t Warrington start least year terribly with everyone saying you’ll end up in the Middle 8’s. Two finals later and all is forgotten.
A strong team on paper doesn’t necessarily mean a winning team, you of all should know that. The Wigan team, whilst not playing well at the minute, is littered with multiple Grand Final, Challenge Cup and World Club Challenge winners. You don’t become a bad team overnight so no need to worry just yet.'"
To some extent I agree with you. However sport is littered with successful clubs that when influential players and staff leave they have a period of what is considered underperformance. When such changes occur there is often an emotional effect that impinges on the team's performance as well as it being physically weakened. Add to this the temporary nature of your present appointment and the anticipation of 2020. All this works against a successful 2019.
Lamm may turn things around but his statements do not inspire a feeling that he has things in hand and a plan to make progress. This again will only add to the players apparently lack of confidence.
