| Quote: Rogues Gallery "According to one of our Red Vee tinted specs supporters.
Gildart was weak defensively, despite not missing a tackle.
Williams & Tomkins - Both halves were poor (or were just made to look poor by the Kiwi pair). Only occasionally threatened the line, kicking was generally poor and there was no game control at all from either of them.
And the best
Bateman - p%%% poor game. Defensively weak, dropped balls, impersonating a statue for the Kiwi's 2nd try.
There's still a public enquiry going on in St Helens as to why God - because it could surely only have been God! - denied them all the silverware they were entitled to last season.
So I suspect it's a bit much to expect them to give any credit at all to the handful of Wiganers who did so much to help England defeat a very strong and belligerent New Zealand team and create a real buzz about the current series.

| Most that I have spoken with can’t accept that Gildart was chosen over Percival. I had a right laugh with a bloke that said Bennett is a terrible coach who for some reason ignores the best players. It was really quite entertaining. Perhaps this is where their ‘entertainers’ title comes from?

| if only we'd have had the full compliment of every English qualified Stain player in the team we would have won the series before kicking off for the first game (or maybe "dreamed" we would have won)

| Don’t sink to their level. England did well whether that be Gildart, Makinson or (insert player who plays for another team).
Yes we could be better in some areas, some players were not as good as others but I don’t think anyone played badly.
Beating the team that beat Australia 2 weeks before justified Bennett selections, I didn’t agree with them all and still don’t, I’m entitled to my opinion however there’s a reason he is England coach and I’m not.

| O'loughlin played 12 minutes. I think he got injured doing that kick because he fell awkward and was limping after. It would of been a great kick had he managed to sit it up in the field of play but he got too excited and over cooked it
