As the players were walking off at half time, idiot Warrington fans were throwing beer and other bits at the Wigan players. Hill and Goodwin were trying to tell them to stop and I think Escare reacted a bit and gave them a bit back. That’s when he was pushed by the Warrington player who I think was just advising him not to get involved really but Navarette took umbrage to it. Looked worse than it probably was to be honest.

The two tackles he made on Ratchford when he broke through were excellent - really hunted him down and stopped the threat, thought he came on and did well certainly did not let anyone down.

we needed sam to control the game (something which our otehr halves do not do). his kicking was key to keeping the pressure on Wire and he will be sorely missed next year. we need a leader in the halves, and Sam has been that man.
