2553.gif I've seen them bomb a quarter final, bottle a semi final, finish as league leaders, but I've still, never, seen the Wire win the league
Doom and gloom, doom and gloom:2553.gif |

| Quote: 100% Warrior "Honestly I think whether we sign a new #7 or not completely depends on the type of coach we are bringing in. A Daryl Powell type coach would be beneficial to our halves, especially a Woods/Williams combo who would be allowed to actually create chances and play off the cuff rugby rather than sticking to a rigid structure which just doesn’t compliment them. With a coach with a similar game attitude to Powell I think the need for a new #7 diminishes slightly.
My main concern is if we take a coach in the same mould as Wane and our halves will continue to be the a source of frustration. With this type of coach a new #7 becomes absolutely essential.'"
I disagree here. I think our attack was rigid and structured but over last few years has become much less so. It now relies on off the cuff stuff from Williams which he isn't that good at doing. I think Williams is much better with the organisation of a structure when he can then choose to follow or not, meaning unpredictability for defenders. Williams looked much better at the start of this year when they came out with a few new moves - runaround type stuff with Faz. As soon as that stuff falls apart it become the headless chicken routine.

| It'd be good for SL to have Briers back here, for sure. He's done great work in Brisbane, under-estimated by Aussie fans and pundits, I think.

It was on the sky coverage mate, when Pyke and Wilkin interviewed Peet.
He credited the club for recruiting Jack and tidying him down to a long term contract which will be at least 6 years.
If you go on Wigan TV and watch the full game, fast forward to the end you can watch it

| Interesting one on wages. The NRL is very transparent about wages.
Michael Chammas is reporting Kai Pearce Paul is on 775k aus next year.
That’s about £400k.
I’m a massive KPP but can’t believe he’d command such a high salary.
Only French, Williams or maybe Welsby would be up in anywhere near that in SL.
Shows the task we are up against keeping players.
