| Quote Azul="Azul"How many of these thick lads reckon it’s a good idea to be posting these pictures looking chirpy with ale in hand?
I know rugby players are thick but this takes the biscuit. It’s almost as if they’re trying to show/send a message, to me.'"
Could be onto something there, although the picture I received was in fact taken by a friend of mine with ST and GW stood with them.
Although they did mention how they had got straight on the beer after the hammering last night. In the past I would have thought that was nonsense but after the last week I’m more than inclined to believe it.
Will be interesting of either of them post anything themselves. Unless they already have and I’ve missed it.
No doubt the sky cameras will catch them if they turn up to the game tomorrow!

| Gildart and Bateman have posted pictures of them with drinks in hand in Venice.
Probably not the wisest as pointed out.

Probably not. For me they can do/post what they want if they have been given the weekend off. However I don’t think I’d have the cheek to do it if I was in their position. Slap in the face to the fans, particularly after that performance last night.

| If Maguire was the coach, they'd been running and gym work all weekend.
Were mid-season, this is outrageous, taking the out of the club and the fans.

| Not got an issue with it really - can understand the logic in giving the players some time off to get out of there, forget everything Wigan RL and get some headspace. Hopefully next week there can be something resembling a fresh start.

| I can understand the logic of the break thats for sure, itll hopefully do them good, but tact is called for after the nonsense of the last week having beer googles on isn't what everyone wants to see, of course they're entitled to it its their holiday but as I say a little tact would go a long way no?

Holiday..
Mid-season in a pro sport, it should be work work work, not supping in Europe when we have a game next weekend where it looks likely we will get stuffed again.
Whos running the club, whos in charge, looks like no one is to me and all these vastly overpaid and overrated players are simply taking the p1ss.

| Might not be a bad thing, the players have looked goosed the last 2 weeks.
Play Thursday, have a weekend off lads but when you come back on Monday, be ready to knuckle down because you’re in for a hard week!

So whenever the guys want a holiday during the season it’s just a case of playing bad for a couple of weeks and bingo get the ambre solaire ready. I can see a precedence being set.
These holidays would have been booked before the Wakefield game hence their half hearted approach to it, I mean who wants to get hurt or injured the day before you go on your hols.
But again all the do gooders are posting saying what a great idea and a break is what the lads need as if it will be some miracle cure. I could possibly agree if we had a three week break but we don’t it’s business as usual next week.

I think you’ve missed the point some of us are trying to make.
Absolutely no issues with them having a break at some point. No issue them even drinking (to a minimum - they’re profession sportsmen afterall) it’s the almost ‘up yours’ pictures they’re posting and really should be smart enough not to.
As I say, either thick as pig s**t or have an agenda. A bit of both, for me.

Do gooders? Wow. You’d have them working 10 hours a day 7 days a week would you? It’s not often they get a Thursday to Saturday turnaround and why not plan a break in that time? Are you saying you’ve never had a weekend away in your time off work because I have. The issue isn’t the lads having time away, the issue is the perception it causes when they use social media to highlight the fact when the club is in an unsteady period. To suggest it was the cause of the defeat against Wakefield when we played without 3 props with a short turn around and them having a week off is quite frankly laughable.
