I get the feeling the second is worse than the first. It’s only a matter of time before that one gets released. We also know now where the payment came from and it was Joel NOT the club.

I think you are right about it being a sad reflection on society. Bad behaviour ranges from what I see as some peoples staggering sense of entitlement (as in treating any customer facing staff like serfs there to do their bidding and the demands they make of them) all the way up to outright abuse. However I don't think whether or not society has taken a turn for the worse in this regard generally means JT's actions are even close to par for the course these days. But even if they were any well known figure behaving like that is going to be called out for it as he has been.

Complete idiocy from Joel and I find it bizarre Sam doesn't attempt to prevent him from carrying on.
Although to say it is worse than the first is wrong, both videos bad but the first was the most damaging.
It is no excuse but worse gets said in pubs in every town across the country every weekend.
I know like the vast majority of the population I have regretted my actions when i have drank heavily. Luckily for me I haven't been filmed and I am not in the public eye.
One thing I must say (and I am sure I will be shot down for this) it came across like the barmaids revealed in the situation to an extent. Joel's behaviour was unacceptable but to accept an apology, take money from somebody in return to delete footage then release it is in my view morally wrong.

Interesting to hear one of the staff say to Sam Tomkins “take your mate out”. Amongst the condemnation, there have been a few comments along the lines of “they only filmed them because they are rugby players”. As the bar staff didn’t know they were brothers, it seems unlikely they knew who they were at all.

Think he’s got to go. He physically intimidated the member of staff at the door by putting his face into her’s and then strikes out at the member of staff who is filming (as she is entitled to).
