Its no surprise, we have other important players to retain in my opinion which I hear is unlikely because there is a list of 6 that need to be moved on.

He has been our best prop this season by quite a margin and for me h has ben our best forward.

So am I, the lad is a very good player and he is going to get better. I said some years ago that he would be an international and I think he is now guaranteed to make it to the top level. No doubt, we will have a lot of supporters moaning about him going - the same one's that said he wasn't good enough!

Rad said no negotiation had taken place. Sutton made his mind up ages ago.

He wasn't released like the others, therefore we had no option on any clauses.

I’m another who has never understood the criticism of Sutton. It’s such a tough position to play for a kid of 19/20 but he’s always cooed physically and after some downturns in form over the last few years, he’s currently flying and has always been reasonably consistent.

It would be nice to see an ex Wigan player really enhance his rep in the NRL and I cross my fingers for Sutton that he’ll be that man. He’s more talented then Mike Cooper was when he went and his spell there should be the blueprint for him to follow.

Perhaps the daily press and constant rumours were a distraction? I don’t know but what I do know is that the club gets criticised when it doesn’t announce things and is now being criticised for announcing this. Can’t win!!

Nice kid, great attitude and stacks of potential. Hope he does really well at Canberra and is happy in Australia.

I imagine we'll bring someone in but Id be more than happy to see Gabe Hamlin take his place next year.
