Ridiculous trying to get to the ground tonight for a 7.30 kick off. It was gridlock on the route down from Eccles. We walked instead after getting off the bus from the city centre and got in two minutes after kick go off. My dad got parked at the ground half an hour after kick off after leaving Wigan at 6pm.
The ground was manic outside at 7.30pm with hundreds of cars queuing to get on the car part and throngs of people at the ticket office, yet Salford didn’t put the kick off back. Add in the fact that you can’t pay cash on the turnstile and they’d closed one of the points selling tickets at 7.30pm and both just after kick off (even though people were still coming on the car park) and it added up to a pretty shambolic night for Salford I thought.
This was all before the action on the field as well! Best of luck to them increasing attendances with 7.30pm kick offs when half the teams come from Yorkshire.
