So after seeing our first squad back in action for the first time today what are peoples thoughts on the game. Felt good to finally get a result at LSV pre season..

Gabe Hamlin.. Wow didn't he impress on debut..hard running, hard hitting and can score a try..impressed and hopefully see a lot more of him through the seaon

Romain Naverrette...Also impressed put in some big hits and made some decent yardage

Sam Tomkins...Looking great in attack, kicking goals and scored a Try himself

A few errors but can expect with them blowing the cobwebs off....Maybe all is not as bad as people are making out

Can’t read too much into pre season friendlies granted and Leigh were a half decent SL side last season don’t forget but I still feel we should have won by a lot more.

As per Crunchers comment, this team still has a lot to do to make up for last season. I’m not at all confident in the squad.

Glad to hear Hamlin and Navarette had a good run out

On the injury front Joe Burgess went off early and never came back on. Andyone heard anything?

Would be great if these 2 could put pressure on the “starters”

4 out of Hamlin, Tautai, Flower, Clubb, Sutton, FPN, Naverette, Field standards should pick up with the competition for places.

Quite hard to come up with any observation on the game with the conditions. Felt the intensity wasn't there from both teams and most certainly felt like a friendly. You looked much better when you moved Sam into the halves and that will most definitely improve when the better weather comes. Good luck for the season.
