The team wanting to break heads has been doing that for years getting steadily worse each season.
This season they gave up playing rugby altogether instead working on on the expectation that they were Wigan and thus entitled to get whatever they wanted.

I don't mind tough teams but not teams coached to be dirty. After every tackle yesterday a Wakefield player seemed to emerge with an injury. That's not accidental that's deliberate.
In the end an attractive brand of RL triumphed. Sad thing is that there could and should have been two teams playing that way.

It's not often I agree with you but you are absolutely correct about the team.
I think us as fans generally understand the issues but the team simply don't seem to get it.
They play like a petulant set of brats. They have a clear sense of entitlement and arrogance that sadly significantly outweighs their current performance.
This whole "Wigan way" thing is a joke. The Wigan. Way should be striving to innovate and develop as a club not s throwback to 1970's bash and barge rugby.
The sign of a quality coach is one that comes in and leaves the club in a better state than it was when they took over. Wane hasn't done that. He has turned this club from a top quality side to a clueless bunch of individuals who don't seem to understand the word team.
If he loves the club as much as he claims to he shouldn't make it a difficult decision for IL he should just walk away.
I'm sure he is a great bloke but the players don't want to play for him, the fans have been distanced from the club and the performances on the field have been well below par.
Time for some fresh ideas and to move on from the Wigan way of jobs for the boys culture that has re-emerged.
