| Our worst performance over the four games for me. Whilst Cas are flying high I don't think they played particularly well tonight (they didn't need to).
For the first ten minutes Cas were woeful, but Wigan were clueless. The writing was on the wall, five sets in their twenty and never looked like scoring (shades of last year).
Other than a magic five minute spell on twenty minutes and scoring in the first few minutes of the second half (like Hull did) then there wasn't much from them. They looked the far stronger side though, making 40-50 metres every set.
Wigan's go forward was much worse. 20-30 metres if that. Pinned in own twenty time and time again. Their kicking game was the killer for us tonight. Theirs was very good, ours was shocking....literally shocking.
Our forwards (Tautai an exception) are really letting us down and have done for a few weeks now giving our halfbacks no chance to put any sort of moves on. Our markers were poor at times giving too many easy yards up the middle.
We need a couple of bodies back as soon as possible, do that we won't be far off come Top 8's time.
It is frustrating though 2nd year on the trot we're playing half a team.

If you don't bother to go to the game when you live in the locality then you are not really a fan and therefore your views are invalid. It's simple.:icons39ad_files/4821-1859san_c-msnicons.jpg |

| As someone pointed out on one of the other threads, if Cas fans expect to come on the Wigan board to find praise for how wonderful their side is, they are going to be in for a long wait, and I'm sure it would be no different on the Whinos' board, say, or anywhere else. FWIW, my take is that Cas are playing good attacking footy at the moment, and as Orrell Lad says upthread, it's good to see another side challenging at the top of the table, like Hull last year. Whether you'll be there at the business end of the season, time will tell.
Looking forward to the return game at the Jungle.

| The point is nobody from Castleford has asked or wanted praise from anyone on here.
I too look forward to the return fixture as it's always good to test yourself against the big teams,If we are not "The Winners" at the end of October so be it.
Castleford's season and club can be judged on a lot more than winning the Grand Final.
It wasn't long ago that we were 24 hours from adminastration and in a VERY bad place, everything that has happened over the last few seasons shows how far we have come and we are just enjoying it the best we can.
Believe me I've been watching for over 35 years and have seen LOTS of ups and downs (but mainly downs lol).
I for one appreciate what Wigan have brought to our league for years, they are without doubt the club who brought the standard up throughout the league as everyone had to try to get to their level.
Good luck for the season (but not against us)

Tony Clubb: "This is a new exciting chapter of my life signing for Wigan and I couldn't be happier" 18/10/2013
Romain Navarrete: “I’m very happy to have signed for Wigan Warriors. As soon I knew that Wigan were interested, they were the only team that I wanted to sign for. To me, Wigan is the biggest Club in Rugby League and it will be an honour to pull on the famous Cherry-and-White jersey next year. I look forward to working with Shaun Wane and the players at Wigan.”:d7dc4b20b2c2dd7b76ac6eac29d5604e_10172.jpg |

Tigerman: That's a very sensible post. I'm sure you'll find all (well 90%) of the Wigan posters on here are also sensible if, given the chance, you come on here discussing RL in a grown up fashion, prepared to offer praise and criticism where it's due, but you must have mentioned the 'famous Wigan Walk' a few times. Sure, some fans leave, regardless of the score, before the eighty minutes is up, but they do at all grounds.
