| Well we have gone from looking in great shape against Cronulla, only Sam, Dom and Micky missing to having possibly 8 players from the starting 17 plus 4 of their replacements out injured for the next game. What a difference a few weeks make

| Quote Aboveusonlypie="Aboveusonlypie"We've got possibly our toughest three fixtures in the first half of the season next up - Hull, Leeds and Cas. The way the injuries have piled up again, with those three teams looking relatively fit, we are going to be lucky to get one win out of the three games. I'd be happier with Lockers in the team. Any word on him?'"
I heard Wane mention on Radio Manchester that it wasn't serious. Having said that, I'd much rather be without him for a week or two now than rush him back and potentially lose him for our first Challenge Cup fixture.

| Problem is we all know with Lockers that a small niggle can somehow end up being a 2 month lay off.

Really? I'd rather have him for Hull and Leeds than Dewsbury Rams.

Correct me if I am wrong but isn't the Challenge Cup the weekend after the England international against Samoa? This could cause a selection headache if we get a tough tie. I am assuming that Lockers, George and Faz (who was injured last Monday at the England training session) will go to Australia for the international and won't return until God knows when. The game itself against Samoa is bound to carry the threat of injury playing against the likes of Sam Kasiano!!!

| On SKY ports news info bar tonight it says Gildart is "in contention" to play on Friday.
That should change things for the better.
I'm a lot more confident now about Friday than I was leaving the ground last Sunday.

| Yeah a knee op apparently for Wane. His deputy will probably go down next in typical Wigan fashion.
It sounds like Gildart has a fair chance. We could really do with getting him on the field which will in turn let us start with an experienced back row.
Fingers crossed.

| Having seen the squad my first impression is that the squad for the pre-season Leigh game has somehow got mixed up with the real squad for this week. A lot of these lads played in the London Scholars match so it will be interesting to see how they have developed.

| People were complaining that we played these lads in the pre-season games. It now looks like it was a master stroke!
