I find this one a little bit strange tbh. Surely Tierney fills our FB/wing cover slot adequately and will start while Manfredi's out? This signing suggests to me that there are doubts over Sam's fitness for the beginning of next year. I know there are rumours that he's off to Leigh and this seems to put the nail in Hampshire's Wigan career coffin.
With Sarge leaving I think we look short for cover in the centres.

That's why they've signed Forsyth, and there's Jack Higginson who has the making of a good player with a BIG boot on him. |

Hardly any difference to the south of France to be fair! Get sat outside Costa coffee next door to Wilkos and they've cracked it.

I generally spend a half hour there on a Saturday morning watching the world go by after a Friday night game.  |

Can't understand this to be honest. Especially with Forsyth returning even if Rocky is going.
Personally I've never rated him I think players have been shipped out of Wigan for having flaws in their game that are far less than an issue than Escare has.
Willing to give the kid the benefit of the doubt and I know he is only cover but we now have the possibility of Tierney to cover Sam, and Fell backing him up, with Forsythe covering wing and Tierney and him covering wing when Sam is fit.
Good luck to the lad though he will certainly provide some added entertainment although not sure it will all be for positive play.

Escare has looked awful in defence, but maybe a better drilled defence will help him. He is a gamble but will be useful in the squad. Does this mean that they expect Tomkins to be out for an extended period next season |
