Quote: Psychedelic Casual "I said that the Wakefield no try against Hull and the strangely blurry replay of the Tierney try against Wire (look at another replay from any other week and they're clear as a bell) were part of a conspiracy to firstly put more hype around the Wire-Wigan game and then to take the LLS game to Hull-Wire, keeping it interesting to the final game making "every minute matter".
But if the game had been officiated properly last night we'd have seen about a 25-6 penalty count with Saints' spoiling being penalised and Wire given more dangerous field position and probably scoring a load more points so the talking points that have materialised from this game would be very minor.'"
I admire the intellectual acrobatics you've performed to come up with that defence of the indefensible.
But ultimately, I don't blame Warrington. They have to take their chances, however they arise. On top of that, they were probably slightly the better side anyway, so I'm not saying it was a completely unjust result.
My real beef is with the video refs who now seem to provide us with at least one howler every week.
