Although this may not seem rugby related, the reason I'm asking is because of my love of Wigan rugby league. I'm wanting some information please about the following :
Details of the nearest campsites to Wigan
Details and recommendations of hotels nearest to the Orrell training ground
Can't think of any campsites round Wigan and the nearest hotel, the Orrell Road Premier Inn, is a fair distance away. Orrell Railway station is a minutes walk from the ground as is a bus stop so you maybe better travelling from the Premier Inn on Harogate Street in Wigan town centre (5 mins walk from train and bus stations) .
There's a campsite at Wrightington called Charity Farm that is very good. We had a new tent to try out so stayed there one summers evening last year. That would be about the closest I know of.
I believe there's a lot of people going fishing there if you're in to that sort of thing as well.
