Salford? Tommy Lee and Tomkins at Hooker. I think they have four recognised half backs in their squad. In any case the point is with a squad of 31 we have no suitable replacements if we have injuries in those positions mentioned. We only had one SL standard hooker before MM was injured, him and our only SL standard full back won't play until April. So I think the squad is unbalanced with too many inexperienced players promoted to it. |

Hard to argue with that DaveO. I think we'd look more balanced if we went with Sarge at FB and left Gildart at centre until Sam came back in. I'm with the majority on here and I just don't have the faith in Powell to carry us through a season as our main hooker.

Not disagreeing with you DaveO... But is that the Tomkins that many of the sages on this board wanted out of the club double fast because he was considered garbage? |

Logan was and still is not Wigan standard. The problem is we didn't replace him with anyone Wigan standard either, so we now have Powell doing 80 minutes at hooker when he was playing half-back in pre-season and 30 minute stints in the first couple of games. And isn't really a hooker. But by god the lad can wrestle!

It's probably a pipe dream but I'd love Leuluai back here to finish his career. He's probably lost a bit of zip but he's always a threat out of dummy half and would bring many of the qualities we need in the side.
I've always felt we'd see him back here at some point and with Issac Luke now in at 9 at the Warriors, Robson and Shaun Johnson in the halves and Lolohea looking for a spot somewhere I can't see him playing every week.
Get him in as player coach. I say all this he's probably not fit himself.
