| Quote: Itchy Arsenal "How can MM burn himself out? He has had zero go forward for the best part of two years.
In the past he was my favourite player but recently he is so laid back he is almost horizontal. No urgency comes from him at the play ball and he hasn't improved his distribution one iota in years.
In his defence he is probably playing to instructions which includes knowing he doesn't need to play 80 minutes.
I await the howls of derision from the MM can do know wrong club.'"
Have to say I agree with that.
When you put him side by side with someone like Roby it's then clear that Roby is far superior. He does as many (probably more tackles) but makes 5x as many meters and breaks.

If you read the latest (wigan evening news) then it is surprising that McM played as much as he did given that he had little pre-season, only started training fully a week before the Catalan game. I suspect that we will see more of him in games going forward.

| It's not just Wigan who do it though is it? So there is obviously a reason. Just watch the tv games over the next few weeks (here and in aus) and take note.

27588.gif "Games as big as a grand finals define individuals and clubs. Remember we are only renting these shirts, I had my time in Pat Richards shirt. Ellery and Faz had there time in Sean's, Hampo and Radders in Sam's. You have to make a mark in these shirts that's still there the day you hand it over to someone else. So be aware for 80 minutes you are not only playing but also writing history and creating a legacy. How many people get to actually write history, not many. A big stage demands big players, be inspired. You play for Wigan, now go do it. Good luck." - Martin Offiah, 2010.:27588.gif |

| It will be interesting to see how it's handled if we end up reducing our interchange down to 10 or 8 in the future. The NRL are cutting down on this and it will mean forwards will be required to do longer stints.
Players like Isa, Farrell, Bateman etc will be invaluable as they play big minutes and can cover various positions.

| Robot like coaching again......which Noble was slaughtered for.
We need to bring more imagination to using the interchange bench.
I know they will be using statistics they have from training and pre-season to when they get to the red line of being over worked but changing Micky Mac when he ok to carry on is just stupid.

Agreed. Was a testament to his desire and dedication to see him play.
