Going for the first time this year and just a couple of questions if anyone can help.

We are staying in Lloret and looking at booking transfers throught CatalanSports Tours. In their T&C says they reserve the right to cancel if less than 15 book match transfer. Has this ever happend to anyone in the past and if it did, how easy is it to get to Perpignan by train or bus. Would hate to be stuck in Lloret and not able to get to the game.

Also, can you pay on the gate or is it better to get tickets beforehand. Will they go on sale at Wigan just like any other away game.

Only ever been abroad once before to watch a game and that was to Paris 19 years ago so really looking forward to this one.

1-We went from Lloret with CST and from the hotel we got picked up at alone there were two coach fulls. I believe in total there was about 250-300 transferred from Lloret with CST and with a July game this year it'll be as many if not more this time around IMO.

2-Get the tickets before. It was close to full last year and with us getting allocated part of the stand behind the posts you'll need to get them in advance to guarantee sitting with fellow Wiganers. The club gets an allocation well in advance.

I went last year with CFW Taylor from Culcheth in conjunction with the Wigan Club, I think CFW are the UK agents for Catalan Sports Tours.
Last year I went for 5 nights ( Wed until Monday) b&b this cost me. £574-00 and included all flights., hotel in Santa Susanna, single supplements, all transfers to airport and to match with match tickett

This year all they are offering is hotel in Loret all transfers ,airport to hotel with all transfers c/w ticket, but you have to book your own flight.
As I wanted to go to Santa Susanna and not Loret I went into the co_op and asked them.
I have booked 6 nights (Wed until Tuesday) b&b with EVENING Meal) single supplements and airport to & from transfers all for £501-00.

This means I will have to get a match ticket and see if I can get on a Cat Sports coach the same as some supporters did last year.
If I can't do this I will watch the match in a pub in Santa Susanna, the break is more important to me than the match,the reason I say this is even though I enjoyed the day in Perpignan (even if not the match) the experience in the stand was not good for me due to me having sometime breathing problems.
I had to climb up all those steps right to the top and I was next to the centre isle. I looked across the isle and all I could see was hundreds of Frenchmen. There must have been 70% of them smoking either pipes,cigars or Woodbines, ( majority of them Groucho Marks lookalikes) by half time I was choking, I came out of the stand and watched the match from the bottom at the corner.
If I do go to the match I will watch from 1 of the corners.

Would definitely recommend CST for the match transfers, sure the packages are decent as well but we found it was cheaper to book a package holiday in one of the resorts (Lloret, Calella, Santa Susanna etc) then use CST to get you to and from Perpignan. Might not be the case this year with it being summer holiday time but worth looking into.

With it being summer holiday time have booked to go to Palma Nova for a week then we fly from Palma to Barcelona on the Friday and have got 4 nights in Lloret then home from Barcelona to Manchester on the Tuesday.

Have booked match transfers with CST - well hoping I have as can't remember if I selected Wigan on their website and when I did a dummy booking it defaulted to Wakefield so have emailed them & can hopefully get it sorted.

Just need to keep an eye out for tickets coming on sale now.
