| Quote: DaveO "I can't see why there is an above inflation increase or in fact any increase at all.
Wage inflation in SL is ZERO and has been for years because of the salary cap.
In fact with the Sky deal all the SL clubs wages for the first team squad are paid out of the TV money so clubs are better off than they used to be to the tune of at least £600K a season.
There is no way that is being gobbled up by the marquee player.
OK the back room staff may be due a pay rise but of what magnitude!
There is another issue that will probably put people off as well now the fixtures are out. There are no home games after 13th May until 8th July. Nearly two months and most of the regular season home games are biased towards the start of the season.
It's not brilliant for the team's prospects either given our away record this season. Even with a decent away record that would be asking for trouble.
For us that means a season ticket for my son is not viable any more. He is at Uni and so won't be back until after May 13th as it is his final year.'"
I doubt it's as black and white as that. How do you know our stadium rent hasn't increased? Look at all the ongoing off-field activities we fund, Central Park, London trip, upkeep of Orrell....etc!

This has happened for a number of years now. The pitch is re-laid. This period usually coincides with an upturn in form too.
No problems here. People looking for problems where none exist.'"
Just getting the excuses in early

Just because it happens every year doesn't mean it isn't a problem. It cost us our CC run last year at the very least.

No not being able to turn over Hull KR cost us our CC run. Just like we couldn't turn Cas over the year before (at the DW!)

| BTW - car park 3 has to be booked via the ticket office [iafter [/ibuying your renewal. At least for the moment (and it's not gone up in price - still waiting for an explanation for the main 10% hike though)

I'm perfectly aware who the opposition were, just as I'm perfectly aware of how our home record compared to away. Also, HKR weren't in the same league as Cas. Don't you think we would have had a better chance against HKR at home? I'd doubt there's a single coach in SL who wouldn't rather play at home, but that won't cut any ice with those who think the club can do no wrong, and if that cap fits you, wear it.
The truth of the matter is we are at a disadvantage as tenants compared to our rivals who own their own facilities. An inconvenient truth, but true nonetheless.
