[quote="Pemps":1dso5atj]I can't confirm Bennett's exact words but I believe they were along the lines of "Strewth Ian, I wouldn't touch him with yours. He's a flammin' Gala". [/quote:1dso5atj]

| Tautai needs to straighten up his running and be more direct for me.
His leg drive in the tackle is superb, but i feel he could be smarter leading up to impact. Whilst i am not against big blokes with good footwork, i much prefer to see big bloke run hard and fast into the collision.
Mossop is a shadow of the player he was 4 years ago. I used to rave to fellow fans that i had never seen him driven back in the tackle. Nowadays its the rule and not the the exception so see him put on his backside.
Tony Clubb is the best Prop at the club at the moment.

| Quote: Wigg'n "Have we had a player recently that's regressed as much as Crosby over the space of a year/18 months? He's a shadow of the player he was - an absolute liability in defence at times and gets through limited work with the ball.
Meanwhile I thought Mossop was very good last night and Clubb was his usual self.
Bateman is still the best prop, second row, centre and loose forward (all at the same time) we have at the club.'"
I have been very critical of Moosop this season but last night you couldn't fault his effort

| I thought that was Mossop's best performance this season, unfortunately it coincided with Crosby's worst.

| Quote: Rogues Gallery "I think you need to watch the game again.
I admit I may have been a bit harsh with my comment about Joel which you pointed out showing the stats from last nights game, but as another poster pointed out Joel's stats were matched by Mossop who spent half the time on the pitch.
Joel's problem is he does not make his own space , he takes the ball up when it is his turn in a set but he never looks like making a clean break due to the fact that he needs others to put him through.
Before Joel went to Union he had Tommy on his side of the pitch and Sam was always causing panic down that side as well, all this meant that Joel was put through the gap more often were he could use his long stride and pace to cause havoc.
But since he came back from Union he has had Matty Smith inside of him and Matty in my opinion his more of an old fashioned forwards scrum half and this has meant that because of Mattys lack of pace the gaps are not there to put Joel through. I think this lack of understanding between Joel and Matty is sometimes carried through into defending, sometimes they seem to have a mix up between themselves when tackling. Look at Hull's last try last night.
This post now seems like a Matty Smith knocking post but in my opinion they do not gel the same as Williams does with Faz, but I stand with my original comments regarding Joel being a bit idle, he does not go looking for work like Bateman and Faz, hence the better stats they both seem to get week in week out.
