(When was the last time you played us and didn't have a load of injuries? I can't remember the last time Saints fans didn't come on here telling us all about their injuries prior to a derrby game. Is there something amiss with the backroom staff? I'd be asking serious questions if your players are getting injured as regularly as is being made out.) Even a thick Wiganer can argue with four broken legs.
Injuries are part and parcel of RL that's why clubs have 25+ in their squads. The real question should be, could any of those injuries have been avoided/timescales shortened with better management or techniques. I suspect that if this was a GF then a few more players would be available. This is Wigan v Saints and 99% of the time we get an excellent contest no matter which personnel turn out. I expect tonight's game to be no different.
Quote: Albion "Looking forward to this one. Should be a good'un.
I'm a bit more confident than some other saints fans but that's only because our forwards (especially the front line) are in great form and are making good meters. I think if we can restrict your yardage out wide (that's were the majority of your meters are made up) then I'll be confident that we will win.
The only doubt is our creative issues. Walsh missing is a big blow and we have looked a bit slow and sluggish shifting the ball in opponents 20m. Missing our first choice second rowers has also affected our attacking shape. That's why some of us are making something of our injuries. We become a bit one dimensional without Vea and Greenwood imo'"
Rumour has it Greenwood is on the bench for you lot tonight and possibly Walsh.
Quote: Capital Punishment "You'll be very Jealous of there very fine owned stadium
Their very fine owned stadium! I couldn't care less. Whoever owns the sods that the sods play on won't help them tonight win or lose, and time has shown again and again it's not always who's missing either, it's pride in the shirt that usually makes the difference. But on the subject of this fabulous Hangtree park, didn't it nearly blow away once?
I think if it's a straight up forward battle I think saints have the edge just with sheer size, but if it's an expansive game I think we have the edge IMO our backs are the better set, should be a close game which could go either way
