| No matter what happens referees can't win with any decisions. At the moment though Bentham seems to be the best of a bad bunch.
He did well to control things on Saturday and there are several referees at the moment who would have lost control.
I've been a season ticket holder at Wigan for 40 years and was disgusted at Flower for the second shot on his opponent. I for one wouldn't care if he never played for us again. Rugby is tough enough without that.

| The delusion is by Leeds fans.
Why on earth would Leeds have won that Final more than any other Final which they have lost against us in RL's history.
Leeds lose to Wigan in Finals, that's what Leeds do!
I'd have thought they'd have got used to it by now!
As for Bentham and last Saturday, he should have sent Hohaia off and didn't, just as he should have sent Paul Wood off in round 27 and didn't.
Both those sendings off would have benfitted Wigan, he failed to make the correct decision in both games.

On Saturday he made a few errors in a generally good performance. But there was just as much he could additionally have penalised Wigan for and didn't than the other way.'" Its not Bentham I'm having a go at, to be fair he did well and Wigan made 80 mins of errors in defence and attack. I would like to know who the 2 video refs were who seem to hurry through the big decision, was it Ganson & Thaler?

Gee how long did it take to think that one up? Just one flaw in the analysis though - no one was murdered.
Given Glass jaw was probably still seeing stars (this is what happens if you are daft enough to pick on someone able to defend themself following an assault) then one of his mates could have explained later that elbowing an opposition player in the face results in a red card (if the ref is, of course, competent). Easy this, isn't it .... keeping up so far?
Now I know rule breaking in Merseyside is difficult to understand (albeit you understandably moved up in the world by leaving ... I assume you live in Northampton?). You can deny the multiple salary cap breaches, the accidental breaches in medication rules, the betting against your own team .... all terrible for the games image, but you cannot deny Lance cheated .... hence the ban!
I was going to recommend you treat yourself by watching (your local team?) Northampton RUFC (good team) but if your struggling with RL rules then probably best to give the technicalities of RU a wide berth for now.
Probably best to ease up on your sarcasm pills too ... your deservedly champions and probably will be there, or thereabouts for many years to come since you have a good team .... enjoy the moment !

| I'm amazed nobody seems to see through his very simple strategy: Ignore foul play against Wigan players and eventually one of them will react, job- done.
All very well saying let the ref' deal with it, what do you do if he does'nt. He knows exactly what he is doing.
